Coach is Antonio Veic; fitness coach is Slaven Hrvoj; moved to Zagreb at age 11. Parents are Mario (businessman) and Iris (housewife); has three sisters - Andrea, Antonia and Antea. After winning Australian Open junior title in 2013 got permission from parents to get tattoo on left wrist ("Faith"). Had right elbow surgery after Australian Open in 2014 (subsequently missed almost four months).

Achieved her first significant result since returning from a long-standing elbow injury when she reached R16 at Miami as a wildcard. A QF at Istanbul and a R-Up finish at Belgrade - her first final in over four years - continued this ascent during the clay court season, while a run through qualifying to the semifinals at San Jose helped her close in on Top 50
