Trains in Boca Raton with Adrian Zeman; previously trained with USTA and Mouratoglou Academy in France. Began playing tennis aged six when grandmother bought her a racquet from the dollar store, with first coach being Otis Johnson. Father (Rawle) was pro soccer player; mother (Paula) ran track in high school; brother (Dominique, Mitchell) played football at South Carolina State (defensive back) Best friends with Vicky Duval All-court player; strengths are movement and backhand. Favorite tournament is Indian Wells Tennis idols were Williams sisters and Martina Hingis Enjoys reading; James Patterson is favorite author and favorite book is Kill Me If You Can; enjoys thrillers, mysteries and romance (including Nicholas Sparks); favorite musician is Nicki Minaj If she weren't a tennis player, would be a marine biologist or doctor Goals are to keep improving, get stronger, and hit the ball better; long-term goal is to win a Grand Slam and be the best player she can be.
