    Began playing tennis aged five when he substituted for his older sister Elana during her tennis lesson while she was sick Aged nine, Wong started playing overseas, winning junior events in China Wong’s parents both work in education — his father Bruce is a principal while his mother Dora is a teacher Wong studied at the University of Hong Kong in 2024, taking online classes alongside playing

    Former World No. 11 junior broke into Top 500 in September 2023, Top 200 in April 2024 and achieved career-high No. 128 in September 2024

    Became first player representing Hong Kong to earn an ATP Masters 1000 win at 2025 Miami and defeated No. 14 Shelton in 2R for biggest win of career

    Qualified at 2025 US Open to become 1st man playing for Hong Kong to feature in Grand Slam main draw in Open Era and first since Ip and Tsai at 1954 Wimbledon
