Dundee manager Tony Docherty made one change from the Dee's thrilling 4-2 victory at Tannadice against Dundee United, before they lost late on to Rangers at Dens Park in a 4-3 defeat after blowing a three goal lead last Saturday evening.
Trevor Carson was named in goal, behind Aaron Donnelly, Joe Shaughnessy and Jordan McGhee in the Dee defence. Ziyad Larkeche and Josh Mulligan were named at left and right wing-back respectively.
Rangers-bound Lyall Cameron missed the match against his future employer, having a scan on a hamstring injury, so Fin Robertson joined Mo Sylla in midfield. Scott Tiffoney and Oluwaseun Adewumi supported Simon Murray in attack.
St. Mirren
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson named two changes to the Saints side that blew a two-goal advantage as they were held in a 2-2 draw at Fir Park against Motherwell, before an emphatic 5-1 victory over Kilmarnock in Paisley.
Zach Hemming continued in goal behind Richard Taylor who took Alex Iacovitti's place, Alex Gogic, and Marcus Fraser in the Buddies' backline. Caolan Boyd-Munce accompanied club captain Mark O'Hara and Killian Phillips in midfield once again.
Declan John remained at left wing-back and Ryan Alebiosu started on the right-hand side. Toyosi Olusanya was sent off against the Well, so Roland Idowu replaced him to partner Jonah Ayunga in attack against Killie last Saturday.
