Excelsior welcome Rotterdam neighbours Feyenoord for a showdown at Woudestein on matchday two of the 2025-26 Eredivisie season.
The newly promoted side couldn’t have started their campaign in a worse fashion as they were humbled 5-0 by NEC while Feyenoord ran out 5-0 winners over NAC Breda at home.
This will be the 49th Eredivisie meeting with Feyenoord leading 41-6 in the head-to-head standings. Excelsior have won just one of their previous eight showdowns (albeit suffering seven losses) with a 2-1 success on matchday 20 at home of the 2018/19 season.
At home in the Dutch second tier last season, Excelsior won 14 of their 19 matches while suffering only two losses. Feyenoord, meanwhile, suffered only three league road losses in 2024-25 while picking up nine wins.
